Anything Goes! Anything...No Really.

Taking the Stage
Pull The String Productions evolved from a love and passion for the art of improvisational performance.

In 2006, a group of 11 improvisors known as Squishy! took the stage for the first time at the Hey Hey Bar and Grill in the German Village district of Columbus, Ohio.  Soon after this performance, the troupe advanced from game-based improvisation to a pure, non-structured, unscripted form of scenic-based improv.

Inspired by, Megan Grano, Josh Kessler and by Chicago-based Annoyance Productions and its founder Mick Napier, Squishy! eventually adopted a format consisting of fast-paced individual scenes framed in the use of lighting  blackouts, and music.

In February 2007, Squishy! was offered the opportunity to appear at the Central Ohio-based vanguard and exclusive professional performance venue Madlab Theatre. As a continuing relationship with Madlab ensued, Squishy! continued to cultivate its fan base and expose Central Ohio to a fresh, rare style of improvisational performance.

In January 2009, recognizing the need and desire to support, teach and promote  performing arts, two of Squishy!'s charter members, Sean Wheeler and Bill Sabo, established Pull The String Productions.
Pull The String Productions is a non-profit company that consists of two specific divisions:  the performance-driven "See You Thursday" and the educational/promotional-focused "Linguistic Images" .
